street art

I may or may not be a little obsessed with street art. Okay, who am I kidding? I’m TOTALLY obsessed. Whenever I stumble upon any type of art it makes me so happy because I feel like I’ve found some sort of treasure. I’m pretty sure that sounds really corny but it’s true! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I can’t draw even if my life depended on it, so when I see other people’s skills I appreciate it that much more. And as if I needed another reason to love New York, there is amazing street art just waiting to be discovered — not to mention millions of photo opps — on virtually every street corner and these pictures are some of my favorite finds from my most recent trip to New York. I mean how dope are the Bleeding Hearts mural and the Audrey Hepburn piece!? Above all though, my favorite find of the day was the Love Is Good For The Soul painting, mainly because of the memories associated with it. I can’t even begin to tell you how absolutely embarassed my beau was that I walked across the street to ask a random passerby to take a photo for us and then suggested we kiss for the photo — he literally whispered “this is so dumb” as I forced him to pose. I mean, he can say what he wants but I love how it turned out! haha
